Nwanneka Okoro is a proficient perfusionist in both adult and pediatric congenital cardiac surgery with over 20 years of experience. Okoro is an expert in various types of cardiac and pulmonary assist devices implantation, management and termination such as VAD, IABP, and ECMO systems in both adults and pediatric populations. Okoro has extensive experience managing complex ECMOs and VADs during Air & Ground transportation. He served as the Chief Flight Perfusionist while collaborating with FLYING ICU Team.
Okoro is a strong supporter of evidence-based perfusion services. He is a strong supporter of electronic perfusion management systems. Okoro has held various leadership positions ranging from Assistant Chief of Perfusion, and Directorship of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital, one of the nation’s best cardiac centers.
Okoro is a graduate of The Ohio State University Perfusion Program, graduating top of his class in 2002. He also received his Perfusion Clinical Training from University of Michigan Health System in Ann Abor, Michigan, Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York, Riverside Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio and a Pediatric Congenital Cardiac Perfusion training at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Georgia.
In addition to his Perfusion training, Okoro also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in Healthcare management and currently is pursuing a doctoral degree in Industrial and organizational leadership from Grand Canyon Christian University.
Okoro has been very passionate in volunteering his time and talent for humanitarian medical missions in Africa since 2008 as a Lead Perfusionist, through the VOOM Foundation (USA), Hospital for Humanity (USA), Save a Heart Foundation (Belfast England) and Healing Little Heart Foundation (Leister, England).

Daniel Rodriguez has been a Cardiovascular Perfusionist for over 21 years. As a graduate from Quinnipiac University, Daniel has led several Perfusion teams. While at Montefiore Medical Center, Daniel held the position of Associate Director of the adult Perfusion service, and concurrently held the Directorship of the Pediatric Division. After 15 years at Montefiore, Daniel was recruited to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. At Mt. Sinai Hospital, he was Director of the Perfusion Quality Program. Additionally, he was the Director of Mount Sinai ECMO program. Daniel has frequently paid forward through his mission work whereby he has provided a multitude of Perfusion care services to children who are underprivileged. Working in conjunction with Heart Care International, his mission work has taken him to Haiti, El Salvador, Peru and Mexico, and Santo Domingo. He aspires to one day retire and teach Perfusionists in third world countries.
Daniel Rodriguez has now taken his vast knowledge and professionalism to create his own Perfusion Company. Teaming up with his partner Okoro, Daniel Rodriguez became Co-Founder and President of Nationwide Perfusion Care Services based in Las Vegas. Daniel’s vision is to create the best Perfusion care service company guiding his team of Perfusionists to delivering quality care “one case at a time”. Daniel is passionate about the teams he leads and believes in influence over authority.
When Daniel has free time, you will find him riding his motorcycle or fishing, where he uses this time to reflect and seek visions for the future, personal and professional.
